Island of Mahmya Our representative will pick you up from your Hurghada resort and take you on a fantastic day trip to Mahmya. You'll board one of the two Mahmya boats and cruise for the island for about an hour. Off the coast of Hurghada, on the southern margins of the Giftun Island National Park, is Mahmya Beach. Mahmya means "Protected Area" in Arabic. The boats moor at buoys off the pristine bay, and you will be transported to the shore by smaller boats, protecting the coral reef and its aquatic inhabitants. Once you arrive on the island, you are free to explore the stunning coral heads spread across the crystal-clear lagoon while snorkeling, go for a stroll along the sandy beach, play with other visitors at the island's beachside bar, and more. Play some beach volleyball or simply unwind on the snow-white sand. On Mahmya Island with an aqua trampoline for kids, there is free WiFi available in the lounge area.
